Our Geese

We were given this pair of Sebastopol Geese. These are my favorite animals. I feed them often so whenever I drive in the driveway they come out to greet me honking away. So, I can't resist throwing them some feed. Of course, all the animals want a share at this point and they all get some! I think these two are really beautiful and they are very friendly.

Sebastopol Goose and Gander
This is Snowflake and Blizzard. They are not a year old yet. I think they are in love and from what I understand geese mate for life.

Sebastopols are medium-sized white geese which are known for their long curling feathers. A gander will weigh 12 to 14 pounds, and the goose 10 to 12. The beak and legs are orange and the eyes are bright blue. They originated in Europe along the Danube River and around the Black Sea.1

They are always together — always!
